Public Engagement on Cycling and Public Transportation
The City of St. John’s hired Trace Consulting who has prepared a draft cycling network concept that is ready for public review and input this month. On January 23, Council will be presented with the draft during Committee of the Whole (9 am City Hall). From the 23-26 there will be 4 public drop-in sessions. The intent of these sessions is both to inform on the process so far and gather feedback from residents on the draft report.
Dillon Consulting will be present at two of the engagement sessions (noted below) to co-host the sessions and share data on what was heard during phase 1 of the engagement process on Metrobus and GoBus.
Edit: the transit review has been postponed until the Spring.

Please come out to discuss cycling. The best way to make suggestions about improvements to your city is to get informed about what’s been tried, what’s currently being considered, and what the practical limits have been defined as up to the present moment. Maybe you’ll have a great idea that no one else has considered, or a new perspective on an old idea.
Creating more options for mobility in general, including cycling can spark greater human connectivity in St. John’s but it can’t happen without you.
Hope to see you at one of the sessions.
NOTE: edited to reflect the fact that the transit review was postponed until Spring 2019,
